I agree, the toxicity still exists today. But I like to think that the younger generation is somewhat luckier because people are more aware and willing to question things. A lot of us were too naive or simply desensitized back in the 90s. We took in what we were given without knowing how harmful it was.
I watched some old interview clips of female celebrities from the 90s, and they were shocking. Hosts talked openly about their outfits, their bodies, and even their breasts. It was wrong and embarrassing, but people thought it was normal entertainment. Not many people seemed to question it at the time. Today, similar behavior would probably lead to immediate backlash and condemnation around the world.
