It was that most holy of days for venereal disease yesterday, so I decided to do a little metaphorical stoning of birds and head down to Nulu. Just east of downtown, it's at that late stage of gentrification

We were looking for a change of pace Sunday, so we decided that shooting the Speed was just the thing we need. Art Museum that is. Would give you a tour but that'd spoil the fun. Besides, there's only

Me and cold weather have never been on what I would call speaking terms, when it gets frosty out I tend to hibernate, sometimes don't get the camera out for weeks on end. Recently we've had a string of

Any engineering nerds on here? Been having some unseasonably warm (60+ F) weather here lately and it was enough to finally overcome my cold weather photo inertia. Finally pulled my DSLR out for the first

2020 may have been the year of protests here in Louisville but we've not lacked for them in the years since. I've found myself at a few of them and managed to accumulate more than a few protest photos

There's a little town in the Texas panhandle, not far from the Oklahoma border that lays claim to the unlikely name of Shamrock. With hardly a speck of green to be seen, I'm not sure how it acquired such

Raise your digital hand if you've ridden a train recently. Here in these disunited 'states' passenger rail has been on life support since the 1970s, and aside from a bit of light rail, Amtrak is just about

"To die young or live forever, I'm just trying to get thru the night." Think that goes a long way to describing Louisville I reckon. Carjacking is the favorite sport of teenagers around here,

Back in October we stopped for the night in St. Louis, Missouri on our way out to New Mexico. Don't think we spent a full 24 hours in the city but we did manage to squeeze in a little exploring before

Presidential election years are always leap years here in the US. Guess we need an extra day to deal with all bullshit that comes with that. In 293 days we will once again have the opportunity to engage

Earlier this month the friendly, hateful folks from Westboro Baptist Church paid a visit to Louisville. Been hearing about them for so long that I had to turn out for the occasion. Thankfully they did

Got to keep moving. Rust never sleeps. Stop and the rust will get you. Can feel it creeping up on you sometimes, accompanied by inertia and an indeterminable dissatisfaction. You catch yourself shaking

Been hanging out with Animals again. Not the cute or tasty sort, more the musical tribute to the Iron Age in the UK. Not that Iron Age, the more recent one when Margret Thatcher was making things great

The Romans built aqueducts, we build overpasses. Underpasses too. There's quite a few of them here in Louisville and most of them are just as good for photography as they are armed robbery. They have a

The world famous (or at least banned from Canada and the UK) Westboro Baptist Traveling Circus visited Louisville yesterday to perform their classic song and dance routine. Well before the time of their

Set the controls for the heart of the sun! Or maybe just the summit. Should be sleeping right now, got a date in seven hours with God's Godawfuls. Sleep is overrated. It's five o'clock somewhere and that
