'Driving that train, high on cocaine. . .' Not really, more like lack of sleep and stubbornness. Besides, I'm pretty sure driving a train would get old fast if you had been indulging in the nose candy. Maybe not if you're Casey Jones.
We used to sing that song every Sunday at church. Best church I ever went to. Only one with a cover charge too. At one point the congregation had to relocate to a different bar after the local narcotics officers started getting spiritual.
The music was always on point though. The bars here don't close until 0400 which did wonders for making sure everyone was good and spiritual by last call.
Sure made getting up to shoot the sunrise a bitch and a half. Then again, me and mornings never did get along. Every once in a while I still manage to get up and out and it always gets weird. One adventure ended with me spending and hour and a half talking in circles with some missionaries for white jesus outside the neighborhood Stop'N'Rob.
Told'em that if they didn't sin then it would mean jesus died for nothing but they still wouldn't come inside and play keno with me. Bless their little hearts, poor Baptists never get to have any fun.
Sundown is one of my favorite times to go shooting. Also just discovered that Gordon Lightfoot's Sundown is about the woman who killed John Belushi, Cathy Smith.
This has been riveting but now it's time for me to bolt!
