Under more normal circumstances the Kentucky State Fair would be just about ready to start. 2020 has been anything but normal so far and the fair hasn't escaped unscathed. We're still having one this year but it is participant only and most of the stuff aside from livestock has been cancelled.
I'm only a few minutes away from the fairgrounds so normally I drop by a couple times and catch some live music and see what photo opportunities I can find. (Plus if you're competing in the photo competitions you can get cheap tickets) Needless to say I'm not a fan the current situation but the governor neglected to consult me on this. It's also a lot harder to capture facial expressions if everyone is wearing masks so I suppose it's for the best.
I figured if I can't go to the fair this year I can at least post some photos from last year's and console (or taunt) myself and y'all with that. Has covid had much effect on any of y'alls photography?
This last photo has amused me ever since I took it. It's definitely a novel way to hang on to your necklace but I never would have thought of it.
