Guess who finally shot an actual roll of film? Think it's been almost twenty years since that last happened. Recently rediscovered my first camera, a Kodak Star 110, and after my partner got me a couple rolls of film for Saint Venereal Disease Day I had to put it to use. That was the plan at least, managed to snap that first photo and then it quit working.
Fortunately my partner had one as well, and operational to boot so I switched to that. Tucked it in my camera bag, once I got done with the usual DSLR routine I'd pull it out and snap a few for shits and giggles.
You better believe I was the envy of all the photographers at the mass shooting when I whipped out that pink 110. I don't recall 110 film having quite this degree of old time-y feel to it though. Maybe it was the Lomography Orca BW film I was using.
My Photoshop unionized and went on strike so y'all are just getting the scans. It'd been so long since I played with a point and shoot that I didn't know what to expect from this roll. Did expect it to be a bit more in focus...
After an initial bit of disappointment these have started to grow on me. Shits & giggles, remember? It ain't a fucking Hasselblad.
Starting to get a better feel for the camera, and more importantly its limitations. Seems 110s aren't fond of low light. Got a roll of Lomography's redscale in it now so that should be interesting.
Pretty sure I've heard mention of a Crappy Camera Challenge somewhere on the socials, anybody else want to fuck around with cheap cameras for shits and giggles?
Hey @rubido, does this count as a fuckups post?
