Had us a party here in Louisville today. Not quite a 'Knicks won!' level shindig but a right proper one nonetheless.
The occasion was the Kentuckiana Pride Parade and Festival, and it brought thousands out to downtown Louisville.
My partner was in the parade, which left me unsupervised. Had wanted to go in an 'off the clock' capacity, but also wanted to take photos, wound up bringing the 85mm prime and just going for fun photos.
It's always such a joyous occasion, seemed perfect for soaking it in and taking some portraits.
Usually the weather is a bit on the scorching side for the Pride parade, but this year we caught a break and the metaphorical mercury only made it into the low 80s, was downright almost pleasant out.
Just a little sweaty out but there were plenty of cold adult beverages to cool you down.
We got sidetracked by tapas and never quite made it inside the festival part of the day's shenanigans, but the parade was party enough.
Don't think I've ever been to any sort of public event where everyone is enjoying themselves as much as folks do at Pride.
Really, it's just a gay old time. . .
Happy Pride, Y'all!!!!
