Ever get home from a trip and immediately want to turn around and go right back? While I was down in Red River Gorge I heard whippoorwills for the first time in ten years or more. Growing up that was a nightly occurrence during the warmer months, I hadn't realized how much I missed that until I heard one again.

Since I can't hit the highway again just yet I am trying to be content with photos from my recent adventure. These first two are from a pavilion thing that was up by the top of Natural Bridge. I'm still not quite sure what it was for but I took a liking to the lines of the timbers making up the structure.

I never seem to quite make it over to melinda010100@melinda010100's Shadow Hunter Contest but I still have fun taking the occasional shadow shot. This photo I took standing near the edge of Natural Bridge, that's actually the tops of trees below the bridge in the top half of the photo.

The yurt was a fun little place to stay so I had to include at least one photo from it. It had a plexiglass dome skylight thing in the middle of the roof, which was neat. It would have been even more neat if we could have seen more than leaves and limbs out of it but you can't win'em all. It still made for fun photos, that's it in the upper right of the photo above with the beams supporting the roof radiating out from it.

So what do y'all do when you really want to get away but can't quite yet?
