#deadthings! In this case sunflowers I believe. This past weekend we managed to get out of the city for a bit and of course my camera came along for the ride. I posted some photos from this adventure already but had a few more that I liked.
Mittens here kept us company during our visit and was quite content to pose for photos. Less content was Nick, who was a bit sick and living inside until he got his strength back.

I'd tell you what sort of spider this is if only I knew. We always just called them z spiders because of the zigzag patterns they make in the center of their webs. It'd gotten a bit cold the night before and this feller was just chilling in the sun when we wandered by.
Who wants to pet the spider?!?!?!
