Above the clouds...
After an amazing and crazy trip to Samoa with the German Rugby Federation, we had the chance of a stopover in Sydney.
Even on the way to Sydney, i was offered with a couple of pretty nice photo opportunities. The first photo was taken somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific about one hour out of Apia. The second one was during the decent to Sydney International Airport.
Although it was just a couple of hours, I had a blast at Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I was in Sydney in 2007 but back then, I looked at the World differently. I had just started taking photos with a little Ixus 40 and I didn´t know much about lights and other things.
Back then, I would only take photos of buildings and the scenery. This time around I just took up all the bustling buzziness of Darling Harbour and loved every second of it.
The amazing light on this beautiful Winter Afternoon made photography an absolute blast. The best ways to get to know a city a bit better is on foot, or just sit at busy corners and wait. If you see a pretty corner or a pretty setting but the light is not right, come back and wait some more...
It´s always a great tip to be patient. Even in street photography the photos mostly come to you... you just have to be willing to wait for them.
Just an amazing trip. So blessed I was able to be a part of this journey.
