The old office is slowly becoming the new ham shack. It’s getting there. Not fast, but steady. Closet is cleaned out. Finally. All that old wood trim, finishing stuff, and random junk that had been piling up in there for years is gone. Still need to remove the bar you hang clothes on. Then the bookshelf moves into the closet. Going to buy another bookshelf to add to the mix later on. This one is out of room already. And yes, I have rid myself of the books I don’t want.
Still need to take the old shelves down from the wall and reposition them. Looking to put some new shelves up that look better. They’ll hold my military and other memorabilia I’m keeping. The stuff worth keeping anyway.
Once that’s done, the large makeshift desk will need to be repositioned in the room. It needs to be more centered to the cable access. This should be done by end of next week hopefully.
My shoulder has been killing me. Slowing progress on lots of things around the house lately. Especially my personal project for the office and future ham shack. You can only do so much when your body doesn’t cooperate. So I work when I can. Rest when I have to.
Once all that is in place I can get my antennas up outside. Run the cables into the shack. Setup the radios. Looking to be operating by end of December at least. In no big hurry. Rather do it right than do it fast.
You working on any long term projects?
Thanks for reading,
Joe
