The upcoming Steem Blockchain Hard Fork 21 represents the next major milestone ahead of this decentralized ecosystem.
To put things into perspective, the last major hard fork on steem - hard fork 20, happened close to a year ago.
This next hard fork will implement some huge changes to the whole ecosystem of Steem.
We at CoinGecko.com has set up a timer page for Steem HF21 as we countdown the days till we finally see #new-steem.
While most Steemians would already have been aware of the Hard Fork, its implication, and the timing of the event, we do understand that there are investors and traders who are not actively participating in the social media network aspect of Steem.
It is our hope that our page would reach out to these investors and traders so that they understand what the hard fork entails.
With so much Hard Fork events across so many blockchain networks occurring over the past year each with its different nature and potential confusion to the non-technically inclined, we feel the need to place this notice on our page.

Make sure to check that the witnesses you’ve voted have already upgraded to version 0.21.0 during the hard fork event.
