Recently a news come out that one of the school in Hyderabad has increased the fees from Rs 2.7Lakh to Rs 3.5 Lakh for their kindergarten, I.e. around 20% rise in 1 year. And it is not only for this school, a lot of school has increased their yearly fees like anything.
And not only for the school, this is the case for any education, be it in college, degree etc. And that's why it is one of the highest inflation product. And this is the single most reason why people are actually not having kids because of this rising cost.
People now a days want to enjoy their money like anything, be it by travelling, or enjoying by themselves and not save money for their kids future. The kids future is becoming like a hole now where a lot of money is getting drained like anything. This is where the DINK is coming into picture.
With kids investment out of the picture, people are saving for their future faster and they can retire and enjoy little faster. I too have admitted my daughter in the school and I am also paying hefty amount for the same. And it will rise everyday, they said minimum 10% to 15% rise every year. That means by the time she completes 12, it will be so many times the money. And the inflation is just 5%. Our salary also doesn't increases by this much amount, the amount which the school increases the price.
Next they pay peanuts to the school teachers, this I got to know from one of my close friends, the school pay around 20K to 30K to most of the teachers and that's actually nothing compared to the amount of money they get from parents.
