Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to laugh at thinking I had to schedule better sleep..
In the chaos that's been going on in the last week and a half or so, I've done all kinds of stuff and had to adjust many aspects of my work and personal life so that I can get the situation in a better spot. It's been a whirlwind for sure and I'm hoping that in the end, it works out and we can meaningfully move on without anger issues directed at me lol.
One of the things that I had to do that will take me a few days to catch up on is wake up in the middle of the night to help work on something with some colleagues! That's not been something I've had to do for quite a while and boy is it challenging.
One of the things that I and likely many others struggle with is scheduling their sleep so that they can interrupt it at a specific time that's not normal for their bodies. I have a really big challenge with setting an alarm for an ungodly hour and falling asleep, whether it be for work or for something fun like traveling lol. It's not so much waking up that I struggle with, it's falling asleep and stressing about trying to make sure I get enough sleep to be productive and useful through the day. I know some of my colleagues do this all the time and kudos to them for sure but damn this is difficult! Lol.
The work has taken some twists and turns that's for sure but it seems to be going okay thus far, it certainly takes a little bit of stress off the plate when people aren't in there using the thing so that we can work on it. It's never a pleasant thing to purposefully wake up in the middle of the night to do work lol especially when one isn't paid hourly but can't complain too much about that realistically.
One thing is for sure though, writing and scheduling the posts for Hive has been great for me in many regards because I can get to the catharsis that my brain needs for getting the thoughts down, even as random or useless as some folks might think it is, so that I can get to sleep earlier in the coming days so that I can hopefully get back on track with not only my sleep but Hive and the activities that I enjoy to do in the evenings. These past two weeks, evenings have been mostly reserved for getting to the work that I needed to do overall, aside from the added headache and work that I've had to do on top of everything else I needed to accomplish with the sideways situation I got myself into lol.
One thing is for sure, on days like today I look forward to the time at which I can curl up in bed and go to sleep! With my luck, someone will want me to do something at that hour hahaha but I will fight it and say no!
