For those that don't know I am actually near sighted and I find myself squinting when I look at things that are far away or if I'm thinking hard about something, even though I wear glasses all the time. So I find it funny every time people are saying "open your eyes" and I notice that I'm squinting instead of having my eyes wide opens.

Nothing makes me squint harder than the feats of mental gymnastics people do so they can make reality fit their world view. No matter how things are evolving there are some that will interpret events so they make sense only to their internal narrative. But the thing is sooner or later reality will come knocking and it doesn't care about preconceived ideas and strong personal beliefs.

Currently my country is being hit pretty hard by the "virus hoax" with ICUs bursting at the seams and emergency rooms barely coping. I can't imagine having a heart attack during these time and having to wait for hours just because the ER is full of people that refused to get "free 5G coverage" directly into their arm. I'm curious at what point it ceases to become a "hoax", when you start to have trouble breathing? when you are being transported to the ICU? when you're six feet under?

Like all things, this crisis will pass but there will be a lot of people that will go through a reality check before it does. As for me I'll keep squinting in disbelief.
