It's Halloween evening now where I live and the kids are out begging for candy door to door. I think this is about the best holiday. I'm not all goth or whatever, but it just seems like people are actually happy and not stressed out. And it's not some weird religious or nationalist thing. Anyway, above is our jack-o-lantern -- the daughter carved it in a hurry this afternoon after forgetting she was supposed to. I like it for its simplicity!
And here's the girl herself! She's dressed as Dr. Maru (Dr. Poison) from the recent Wonder Woman movie. She's out wandering the streets with some friends. She told me teenagers are only too old for trick'r'treating if they don't have a great costume. As long as they put in the effort to get in the spirit of things, no one really minds them coming around. What ever works, I figure!
