Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Wyoming all permit physical punishment as a technique to maintain discipline in the public schools.
