A lot of hivers know me and how much I did for the community even before it was created. I was interviwing people who joined the blockchain to make them more exited about it and to give the example to others to create collaborations. You can check this post with details about what I did : My way to Hive !. You can also check a few collaborations I created about hive, including this video :
I also do mybest to create the best content I can. Of course it's all original and I never created plagiarism. I also don't like spamming and I even fighted it for a while reposting it to those who were specialized in that. They had a website where anyone could report a spam of plagiarism or any abuse on the blockchain. I was as well a curator in dtube where I was interviwing some creators to check if they are legit or not. By the way checking videos is much harder than checking posts because to prove that you're the owner of the video is a bit harder.
I wasn't doing well after hive was created anyway, even with creating quality content. That's why I joined project hope, I needed some attetion and some support because the content I was creating wasn't supported that much. Even if it was quality work or very useful posts. And when I was asked to support the project, I didn't see an issue in that. I didn't know that will be considered as buying votes.
Then I saw the post of @acidyo about that topic and I thought that I have to dig deeper about this topic to find out the right thing to do. I was downved twice, in this post : Can we consider Gas in Ethereum as a tax ? by a few big accounts and the post turned from $26 to $1 for sharing 50% with
@ph-fund. And this post Beneficiary Rewards Connecting People ! from $30 to $2 for sharing only 10% with
@ph-fund and other 20% to members of the community.
Then I understand that I shouldn't share my money even with low % to @ph-fund to not get downvoted. And the problem seems not only in that, but in something else. Because I know people are sharing 10% to 3speak and dtube and they are not punished for that. Maybe to other applications as well. So, I was lost and depressed and just decided to write about the story of my life. I shared in that post the rewards with 8 hivers that I know for a long time and I exmaplained why I was sharing that money and I get a $58 upvote from
@ocdb . That was the biggest upvote from one account I ever get on hive since I joined about a year ago. Of course I was very happy even if only 20% from that money will get to my pocket. That's by the way 58/2 = 29 * 20% = $5.8. Even that made me very happy because I hit the trending page finally. That was a kind of a little dream. ☺
So, the money I lost from the downvotes kind of comeback to me because the @ocdb upvote and I'm glad about that. You can say that I leanred a lesson and didn't lose anything. That's because my reaction to the downvotes was calm and quiet. I held my emotions and get rewarded for that. ♥
I didn't create on the community anymore. Honestly I was afraid to be compromised again and that I will do the wrong thing. In one hand I see so many in the community still sharing their rewards, in the other hand I see downvotes coming and a big drama is created. I don't want to participate in that. I've seen enough drama during my existence on the blockchain for almost 4 years. Maybe because I'm older now and much wiser. In my life I've seen enough as well.
So, in this post I want just to give you an idea to calm down this drama. I see in fact the solution in the hands of the members of the community. Not in the leaders and the team and not in those who are downvoting. They are both strong people and the victims of their misunderstanding are mostly legit content creators who just wanted their hard work to be rewarded much more. I don't want to be a victim. And you can avoid to be like that. I want to sleep well, to not think about this situation every night, to just keep creating content in a few communities like I was doing before. For the whole year I was creating and getting from $1 to a few dollars from my posts and I was ok with that. I jumped in the hype of project hope just recently. But, the problem that I liked the community because I know so many creators there who are on the blockchain for a long time like me. They are not spammers and they are good and loyal members of hive community. I don't want them to get stressed like me. I want them to keep creating and I liked to consume their content. I also liked the interaction in the community. Because beside sharing the rewards, we were as well asked to comment others, to be active in the community. And I liked to see my posts always commented by someone. That's why I will keep creating sometimes here.
So, the solution is to not share the rewards anymore. To hold down on that till the problem will be solved. Maybe those leaders will come with a good idea, maybe they will work as an application where people are sharing only 10% to the main account of the community. Maybe a part of their income will be burned. I don't really know. I am just a regular creator. I'm not a leader, not a moderator and not a whale or a witness to decide things. I'm just an active guy who like to create content and to share his ideas. Nothing more.
I've seen a conversation on the discord server of Project Hope with @pfunk and I see that the main problem was that Project Hope was supporting only those who share the rewards. The members of the community are proving that's not the case. Even me I was supported many times very well without sharing the rewards. I can give you two examples : We can call anything created plagiarism ! and Don't let anything break you !. Those posts were supported very well and I didn't share any rewards with anyone. Those posts weren't downvoted as well.
So, let not only prove that Project Hope didn't upvote only posts where the rewards were shared, but they will also upvote those new posts that will not share the rewards in the future. Just like they did to this post Did You Know? Coinbase is Giving Bunch of Money Away?.
