Chapter 6
It was the day of the wedding, it was 8 o’clock and everybody was busy with last-minute details. Like the extra two chairs for Maria and Antonio Giovanni.
Then they called at 10 o’clock “hello, Jordan we are in town don’t know what to do.”
Jordan said, “go to the Chinese restaurant, we haven’t ordered anything from there.”
Jordan added, “I’ll have Robin give you a text when it is time for you to come out and mix in the crowd behind the chairs then when chief white owl announces who will give Sam Parker to Jordan Harris. You guys step out and say, we do! Okay?”
“That is fine, we will do as you say!” Answered Antonio and Maria agreed.
“I’m so glad you came!” Said Jordan.
Then they hung up. She felt the panic attack coming on went over to her mom and asked her to get two glasses of champagne and meet her in her room along with Robin. 1030 and she’s nervous that it will fall apart.
She did not know where Sam was maybe at the bar in the B&B. Then Jordan’s mom and Robin came in with champagne for all three. They both said, “Jordan, everything is running smoothly.”
“What if she sees her parents walk away for good!” Asked Jordan.
“I don’t think she will, I really don’t know, of course she might be a little upset that you went behind her back even after you promised,” said Robin
“that last part that is what I am worried about.” Said Jordan.
“it will be all good in the end!” Said her mother. She added,” now are we having a wedding today are not?”
“Yes, I want to very much!” Answered Jordan.
“Let’s get going it’s time!” Answered her mom. She added, “drink down that champagne to give you courage. Come on, let’s go!”
“Okay, going now!” Answered Jordan confidently.
“That’s my girl!” Said her mom.
“I can hear the music, it is time to walk down now. Mom you ready?” Asked Jordan.
“Yes, I am.” Answered her mom.
“Let’s do this!” Said Jordan.
They walked out were the aisle is and stood there waiting for chief. He notices them and then asked, “who gives this woman away?”
“I do!” Answered Jordan’s mom.
Then they started down the aisle when Jordan was in her place her mother let go and sat down.
Jordan stares down the aisle, waiting for Sam, Susan and Robert. Jordan thought to herself what it Jordan decides not to marry me and has left.
Jordan told herself, it was just butterflies. In the next instant, Susan, Jordan and Robert all three stood beginning of the aisle. Jordan was grinning ear to ear and so was Sam then the chief spoke, who here gives a woman away?” Susan and Robert were about to answer when you came a sound of “ I do!” Coming from the crowd the back of the aisle, then Sam saw them and heard them continuously saying I do. Susan and Robert went and sat down the left the two front chairs open. Jordan looked at Sam in bewilderment and showing she was upset at first. Then she turned to the two people standing in front of her and then said, “Mama! Popi!, it’s really you!”
Her mama said, “we can talk later, let’s get you married first, okay?”
“Oh yeah, right! Then they walked down the aisle everyone clapping. They stopped when Sam was in front of Jordan and ready for the ceremony to begin. Jordan whispered to Sam “ are you all right?” Sam answered, “no, but I will be. That’s all Jordan needed to hear.
The ceremony began with the chief white owl in in his native tongue spoke the blessing of these two women. Then he spoke in English, “Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be a shelter for the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth for the other. Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be a companion to the other. Now you are two persons, but there is only one life for you. May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the years. May happiness be your companion and your days together be good and long upon the earth.”
“I understand that Jordan and Sam are going to read ceremonial vow together.
Then Jordan and Sam pulls out their pieces of paper and opens them up, they both cleared their throats.
“Fair is the white star of twilight, and the sky clear. At the day's end but she is fairer and she is dearer. She, my heart’s friend. Fair is a white star of twilight in the moon roving. To the skies end, but she is fairer, better and worth loving. She, my heart’s friend.” Then the chief spoke, “you may now kiss your spouse forever and always!” Then it was time for the ring bearers which was Champ and Nikita they walked down the aisle straight up to Jordan and Sam. Each undid the ring that was tied around their collars and put the rings on each other
Then Jordan and Sam kiss held each other close then wrapped in each other’s arms they took a bow to the people everybody applauded.
Sam took Jordan’s hand and led her towards her parents. Sam kissed her mama and pop on the cheek and said, “this is the girl that brought all about and though upset at first I couldn’t be any happier and she kiss Jordan again.
Sam said, “let’s join the party and get some champagne.”
Sam wouldn’t let go of Jordan’s hand squeezing it. Like she was trying to validate this was real. Sam took her parents over to Jordan’s mom and introduced them. Jordan’s mom gave them both a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said, “ champagne?” Sam’s parents said yes they would love some. Jordan’s mom said, “coming right up!”
Jordan’s mom came back with two glasses for Sam’s parents.
Sam said, “Maybe you should stay the night.”
Her mom answered, “We have a room at the B&B very nice place!”
Then Sam leaned over to Robin and asked her if she wanted to be introduced to her parents.
“Sure, I’d love to meet them!” She turned around and noticed that outfits fit perfectly.
Sam introduced them to Robin and said, “They are going to be staying at your B&B tonight!” Robin gave him a hug and said it’s an honor to meet you. Then they all heard the clinking of class and it was Sam’s boss making an announcement.
“May I have everyone's attention, I have an announcement to make this the best time to be making such announcement. Sam come over here.” Sam did with Jordan with her. “Here is a fine detective and now she has the rank of Lieut. detective. Here’s a medal for bravery in a tough situation.” Everyone applauded toasted “here’s to Sam!”
“Thank you, chief! I don’t know what to say.” Said Sam. “Excuse me but I’m being dragged a different direction, sorry chief. Thank you so much!”
“Did you pack enough snacks for us on our flight?” Asked Jordan. Sam answered, “Yes I did love!”
“You have heard of the mile high club, right?” Grinned Jordan. She looked at her watch they have an hour. Sam was visiting with her mom and dad so she went to find her mom and she found her by the jalapeno poppers which look very appetizing she grabbed a plate put a couple on it and some smoked cheese and crackers. Put her arm around her mom.
“Everything did work out mom, just like you said!” Said Jordan.
“Always does just hang in there!” Answered her mom.
“How was your doctor’s appointment?” Asked Jordan.
“Much better anaemia is better but I am going to stay on the iron pills and ensure. Don’t you worry about me okay, I’m just fine!” Said her mom. She added,” send lots of pictures K?”
“You bet, every day!” Said Jordan. They toasted to love. Then Robin walked over and asked what they were toasting to?” We’re toasting to love.” Robin said give me some of that. And they toasted again. Robin said,” I hope you have the best time!”
Jordan answered, “we will! Thanks for everything you did for us!”
Robin answered, “it was fun! I was happy to do it. And now finish letting you visit with your mom”
“thank you, Robin and I know you take good care of Madison and the gallery I will owe you big time!” And she hugged her tightly. And Robin said, “I’m happy to do it. Just have a good time. Bye for now!” Then Jordan turned back to her mom who was eating a jalapeno popper so she joined her and had one herself.
I have to find Sam and we need to change clothes.
“These are good!” Answered Jordan.
“Why do you think I’m standing here.” Laughed her mom. It made Jordan laugh.
“I love you so much mom!” Said Jordan.
“Why love you very much too and I hope you have a wonderful time!” Said her mom.
“I hope she still not mad at me!” Said Jordan.
“Just look at her! She’s happy!” Said her mom.
“I’m happy for her. It’s been way too long!” Answered Jordan.
“I’m going to ask her if she wants to change your name back to Giovanni.” Said Jordan.
“I think that’s a great idea!” Answered her mom.
Then she saw the chief white owl and motioned them over. He came over and said, “this turned out to be really nice. I’m happy for you Jordan and Sam and I wish you the best life. I will not be here when you get back, but I’ll be back to visit Allison so I’ll see you then, okay?” Asked the chief.
“Thank you so much for the ceremony and I love what you said!” Answered Jordan.
“It was my pleasure, especially when you have done for Allison and Madison!” Said the chief.
“What happened to the four people involved in the scam?” Asked Jordan.
“Whether the teller got five years probation. Had to repay back all the money going back years. And City Council members sentences 20 to life with probation if they get out sooner and the sheriff got life without parole.”
Jordan said, “sounds like they all got what they deserved.”
Chief says, “yes we got our money back from them the two city councilmembers. Now the people who deserve that money are getting it.”
“That’s great I’m glad to hear that!” Answered Jordan.
Chief said, “I’ll leave you to visit more with your mom!”
Sam came over with her parents and they gave a handshake to the chief and thanked him for the ceremony. Then the chief went to Allison and Madison to visit.
“I don’t know if you’ve been formally introduced to my parents but this is Maria and Antonio Giovanni. Said Sam.
Maria spoke, “it is so nice to meet you. Your daughter is wonderful she makes my daughter very happy. That’s all that matters to us me and Antonio. We hope to see more of each other, you and I.
“That would be great!” Said Jordan’s mom. She added,” you’re welcome anytime!”
They gave you greetings to all the visitors, then heard a car pull up, it was the limo it was right on time 2 o’clock. Jordan and Sam went in to get their luggage and limo driver got out and grabbed it for them. Jordan and Sam said thank you and then went around and said their goodbyes and gave hugs to the moms and dad. Then Robin and Scott and the chief. They said thanks again to him. Then they realized they were still in the same clothes and ran into the bedroom to change into their sweats. They were fast and went back outside went to the limo. They turned to everybody.
Sam said, “See you all when we get back. Jordan said the same thing. They each gave their moms and dad one last hug and said, “See you in two weeks!” Then they entered the limo Jordan rolled down the window they both waved at everybody. And off they were. Sam gave Jordan a big hug and kiss and thanked her for going against what she promised.
“I’m thinking about taking the Giovanni name back!” Said Sam.
“I think that’s great and Jordan Harris Giovanni sounds great!” Said Jordan which makes Sam laugh and Jordan laughed too. Then Sam grabbed Jordan’s thigh it made Jordan jump.
“Is wait till I get you on that plane for the mile high club!” Said Jordan. As she said that they pulled up to the charter plane. And the driver grabs her luggage handed it to the pilot. He added, “it would take us about 30 minutes to the Portland airport so just hang on and enjoy the ride.” The limo driver said, “see you when you get back!”
“You know when and what time right?” Asked Jordan.
“Yes, I do! I’ll be here!” Said the driver. He told him goodbye and got on the plane. Then the pilot handed both of their headsets. Just so you can hear me. Then they were off in the small biplane.
They got to see a lot about Oregon in Washington that they didn’t know for. It was beautiful!
The 30 minutes went by fast because they were pulling their plane outside one of the hangers were a limo waited. Got out and the limo driver got their luggage, they only had one big suitcase and to travel ones. Limo took them to the Lufthansa departure to France then to Florence. Take about 20 minutes to get through the line at check-in which they checked in their biggest luggage and took their carry-ons with them. They were flying first class was neither one of them had before so they had plenty of room on the plane. The waitress came up and told them they would be able to order drinks have dinner once the plane is in flight. They told her okay and thanks.
The plane took off on time and soon it was time to order drinks and choice for dinner decided to take different things and then they would share. They ordered champagne toasted to her marriage and the honeymoon.
“Got a surprise for you.” Said Jordan.
“Another surprise!” Said Sam. She added, “what is it?”
Jordan said, “what are your feeling about trains?”
Sam said, “I don’t know I’ve never been on one, why?”
Jordan said, “I’ve never been on one either I think it will be fun!”
“Well, we’re flying into Paris and will be early morning the next day so I got us a hotel until the 17. Then 10 o’clock in the evening, we would catch a sleeper train to Florence were limo will be waiting to take us to the Château. Then we could start seeing the sights all over Italy.” Said Jordan.
“I think that sounds great!” Said Sam. She added, “I’m all for it!”
They ordered another champagne and made a toast, “here’s to Mrs and Mrs Harris Giovanni Parker!”
“At least until I can get my Giovanni name back.” Said Sam.
They’re dinner came and was good, they shared. Then order another champagne. After that one, they both decided it was time to get some sleep since they have a long flight. They both said they’re good night’s and I love you’s. It didn’t take long for both of them to fall asleep till a waitress was waking them up to put their seatbelts on. They were about to land!
Jordan said, “that’s how to do a long flight… sleep!”
Sam said, “I agree with that!” She added, “we are in Paris!”
Jordan said, ”city of love”
When they got off the plane and went to baggage and found theirs. It had rollers on it. That made it easy and they went outside waved the cab over. He got out and said welcome to Paris, can I take your bags?
Jordan said, “sure and thanks!”
The taxi driver asked where they were going to?
Jordan said, “Melia Paris La Defense, courbe vole, you know the place?”
The taxi driver said, he knew very well!
Sam said, “You said that very well and you have got everything planned down to the nail!”
They got there quickly and paid the taxi driver. Went inside the hotel, they were in awe! It looks wonderful! The bellboy by their luggage and waited. They were checking in and got the key. The bellboy had them follow him to room 401. The bellboy said to have a nice visit and Jordan tipped him. Then he said goodbye.
Jordan said, “we can Skype mom and you can call your parents, there is Wi-Fi here. Both Jordan and Sam were amazed at how decorative the room was. It had a canopy bed silk sheets and a gold comforter matching the gold curtains.
Jordan sat down with her computer Skyped ring her mother who answered right away and they saw each other. Sam called her parents they answered right away they both talked for a while. They said their goodbyes and they loved them.
Sam asked, “they want to see if they can fix us a Bloody Mary?”
Jordan answered, “sure why not we’re wide-awake we slept 10 ½ hours!”
Jordan said, “Will you call? Because I’m going to take a shower, okay?”
Sam asked, “mind if I join you and will order them after the shower!”
Jordan answered, “sure, you can always baby!”
Sam said,” race you in there, love!”
The race they did, they both took off all their clothes and into the bathroom they went. The bathroom was gorgeous different color tan on the floors and on the walls and shower was huge. Two shower heads in a rain one in the middle. They decided to use the rain one and not all three. Sam started first, he pulled Jordan close to her and wrapped her arms around her then said, my life I love my everything.
They kissed for a while Sam and Jordan both caressing each other’s bodies like it was the first time. Sam started kissing Jordan’s breast getting hard Sam’s were hard too. Sam asked, “still want a bloody Mary, love?”
Jordan answered, “sure, I still want one!”
So, Sam ordered them one with extra, extra olives and asked for menu too.
They got their bloody Mary’s and a menu. They had given Jordan extra olives on the side in a bowl. They drank their bloody Mary’s Jordan ate her olives. They looked at the menu which was in both English and French. They both ordered specials along with two more bloody Mary’s. The person on the other end of the phone must have asked her something she said yes that would be lovely.
Sam said, “he asked if we wanted a pitcher of Bloody Mary’s with olives and celery on the side.”
It didn’t take long for service to deliver their food and drinks. Sam put the food on the table for them and poured them another drink. Put the olives and celery on the table too.
Jordan asked, “you want to go sightseeing after this?”
Sam answered, “I see all I want to see right here in front of me.” Teased Sam. “Sure I would.”
They ate heartily and drank too. Then they got dressed and went downstairs to the lobby. Jordan asked the front desk what day and time it is said she was confused by the time change. The desk clerk told her it was the 17th and 10:30 AM. Jordan added,” we will be checking out this evening to catch the train. Could we have a car ready say around 9 PM”
The clerk answered, “yes ma’am we will have one ready for you.” Jordan said thank you.
Then they were on their way to see the sights. Jordan brought her camera. She was going to use the pictures in her gallery and B&B. She took a picture outside of the hotel and then down the street for all the shops and cafés were.
Sam asked, “you want to get a crêpe and a coffee?”
Jordan answered, “sure why not.”
They sat down at one of the café tables and a waiter came up, then they ordered. Jordan kept taking pictures of the people. When the waiter arrived she asked if he would mind if she took this picture?
Jordan answered, “thank you very much!” And handed him a tip out of her Fannie back. Asked him if he would bring the check when he gets a chance. He said he would and said thank you. She had got her and Sam both Fanny packs to carry the important things like their passports, money and jewelry.
Sam asked, “what would you want to see first?”
Jordan answered,” of course, the Eiffel tower.” So they held a cab and said,” to the Eiffel tower please.” It definitely would’ve been a long walk. They got out and asked the driver if he would wait for them. He said yes and they said thank you.
They went up to the top of the tower. Jordan pictures all the way around. Then she asked someone if he would take their picture. He said sure and did. She got her camera back and asked Sam if she was ready to go back down. Sam said yes she was.
Got back in the taxi and asked him if he knew some other sites they would like. He said yes, he did.
Two different places he took them too that Jordan got pictures of and asked the driver if he would take their picture at both places. And he did.
It was 5 o’clock by the time they finished seeing the sights including the Louvre, so they decided to go back to the hotel and relax. They were not used to the heat since it stayed cool all year round back home. When they got back to the hotel Jordan asked the clerk if he remembered to have a car ready at 9 o’clock this evening and if he could give them a wake-up call about 8 o’clock. He said he would pass it on to the next clerk. She said thank you very much.
We both enjoyed cool air in the hotel room and Sam called down and asked for a bottle wine into glasses to be brought up. When the wine got there, she gave the waiter a tip said thank you. She poured two glasses and handed one to Jordan. He said thank you honey. And Sam said your welcome love.
Jordan said, “you just wait till I get you on that train!”
Sam answered, “not if I get you first!” She laughed. Then she took Jordan in her arms, pulled her close and said, “thank you for the surprise, being here in Paris and the train ride.”
Jordan said, “you’re so welcome honey, I love you so much!”
Sam answered, “you are my life, my love, my everything! And I love you too so very much!”
They took a nap until the clerk called at 8 o’clock. They laid there and just kissed for a while, then got up and packed their things. Then call for the bellboy to come and get their luggage. It was 9 o’clock in the evening and Jordan checked them out and the car was waiting outside. The bellboy to their luggage outside and the driver put it in the trunk. It took them about 20 minutes to get to the train station and get their tickets. And so they waited outside till the train came then someone got off and grab their luggage so they were there sleeper cab was. Then they went in, it was spacious the bed was already made. They were still tired from all the traveling. They were happy to see the bed. They asked the person who brought them to the room if they could get any drinks in the room. He said yes what would you like? A pitcher of bloody Mary’s and extra olives and celery. He said he would return soon.
Sam asked, “Jordan, how long is this ride?”
Jordan answered, “about 10 hours. We should get there about 8 o’clock in the morning.”
The bellboy arrived with the bloody Mary’s and then they asked him if they could get a wake-up call about 7 o’clock. He said he would then they tipped him. Then he left.
Sam poured both a drink and to Jordan the bowl of olives and celery stick. They enjoyed your drink. Both said they were enjoying the trip so far. Sam said she was glad that Jordan booked the flight to Paris too.
Jordan and leaned over and gave Sam a kiss and said your welcome honey.
They were on their way to Italy, Florence first.
Jordan told her all the stops they would be making including Venice and a ride on the boats on the Riviera once they got to Florence. She had a car set up to drive them around.
Sam said, “We go home now and I would be happy with what I’ve seen so far!”
Jordan answered,” you know, I would too!”
Then Sam gave Jordan another kiss and grabbed her thigh which made Jordan almost dropped her drink.
Jordan said, “I have to find a spot for you that I can tease you with.” She laughed then Sam laughed.
They enjoyed their drinks and finished off the bloody Mary’s and they got undressed, then climbed into bed.
Jordan said, “I’m taking care of you this time!” And begin caressing Sam all over as they kissed. Sam’s nipples became hard as Jordan touched them softly. Sam said, “I love you so much!” Jordan said the same back. Then they kissed. They both laid there for a while and fell asleep till morning must’ve been 6 o’clock they both woke up and got dressed. Then the bellboy rang the door and they said come in. They asked for some coffee with cream and sugar. He said he be right back they said okay. Thank you very much. He left. And was back quickly, they said thank you and gave him a tip. He said thank you very much so kind. They drank their coffee and then packed their bags and waited.
Jordan said, “I think you’ll like the next surprise!”
Sam said, “I’ve loved all your surprises!”
The train pulled into the station and the bellboy came and got their luggage and walked them out to the waiting area of the station. Their car was there so the driver came and got their luggage and put it in the trunk. They were off to Jordan’s next surprise.
They arrived at the Château Jordan said,” this is it!”
Sam said, “you rented out of Château!”
Jordan said,” this is our home base, while we stay here in Italy.”
Sam said, “this is awesome!”
Jordan asked the driver, “can you take a picture in front of the Château of us?”
The driver said, “fine, I can do that!”
They took their picture she handed him a tip asked him if he could wait a half an hour before their next trip. The Butler came out and got their luggage and had them follow him to their room.
They both need to shower so they did it together and wash each other’s bodies.
Jordan said, “we don’t have time to fool around right now. Because I’m taking you somewhere special.”
Sam said, “this is already special enough!”
They dried off and got dressed and then went back downstairs and out the front doors where the car was still waiting. They had their Fannie packs on Jordan had her camera. When they got in the car Sam noticed the basket with the wine sticking out. She looked in and saw cheeses and bread and of course the wine.
Sam said, “we’re going on a picnic!”
Jordan added, “something like that!”
It took about four hours and then Sam said as she noticed the Riviera, “ they were in Venice!”
Jordan said, “yes we are, honey!”
Sam said, “Jordan, you shouldn’t have! Love.”
She asked the driver if he could come back in two hours? He said as you wish.
They had help getting on the boat and the basket too.
Sam gave Jordan a kiss on the cheek said thank you so much. And they were off. Jordan asked Sam she could open the wine and she did pour each of glass. They toasted to love.
Jordan said, “we are going to stay here the night.”
Sam said, “that is fantastic and see what Venice is like at night!”
They enjoyed the ride, cheese and bread and wine of course. When they docked Jordan, they asked the boatman if you would take the picture in the boat. She got all kinds of pictures of the Riviera. They saw the car and were helped out of the boat. They still had some wine to drink on the ride to the hotel. They finished before they got there. Jordan asked the driver if he could pick them up around 12 o’clock tomorrow. The driver said yes. The bellboy got their luggage to come up to the clerk’s desk for checking in. Then took them to the room. They walked in and it was gorgeous with different color blues that blended very well. Jordan gave the bellboy a tip and asked if they needed anything. Yes, a bottle of wine two glasses. Jordan said thank you. He said he would be back soon.
They both went over to the window and looked out Venice was beautiful! Jordan said they would go to a café after they rested a little bit. Sam said okay great.
Then the bellboy came back with their wine glasses on the menu. Jordan said they would not need to the menu that they were going to eat out but could recommend a restaurant. He told her and asked him if he knew the number said he did and gave it to her. She tipped him then called made a reservation for 7 o’clock. That gave him a few hours to rest and share some wine together. Sam had already opened the bottle of wine and pour you a glass. She handed one to Jordan. They toasted again to love. Neither one had called home in a couple of days so they both decided to call their parents Jordan Skyped while Sam called hers they didn’t have a computer. They talked for a length the time said their goodbyes and would talk to them in another couple of days. They had been laying on the bed, decided to take a nap Jordan called down to the front desk and asked for wake-up call 6 PM so they wrapped in each other’s arms and fell to sleep. Jordan woke up before the call and got her camera and took a picture of Sam. She smiled.
