Friendship seems simple but it can actually be complicated. Friendship means different things to different people. When two friends are no longer on the same page in life, the feeling of friendship naturally dissolves.

Unlike other relationships, expectations in friendship are usually quite blurry, with one or both parties unsure of what they can give to one another.

In a friendship, some people value trust, others may value honesty, communication, even direction. If it isn't going anywhere, some friends are ready to put it on hold or call it quits.

Some friends love to chit-chat, others can be quite introverted and enjoy their solitude. There are so many variables. So it's hard to judge.

For me, the best friendships I've ever had lasted even to this day because of two things;

  1. Direction
  2. Freedom
  • We have "something we do together". A common goal. A mission that keeps us on the same track going to the same place in life. It could be fitness, finance, education, etc.

  • I don't expect anything from you. Give what you can, when you can. Whether that's your time, energy, attention, money, or presence. And if you feel like it's time to change direction in life, you are free make that decision. No hard feelings. I wish you all the best. Chat me whenever you can.

Nonetheless, not being invited to your friend's wedding must've really hurt. I'm so glad you found your people.
