"STEEMIT" - My Experience

The Cross Road:
Friday, it is a non working day here in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Time to relax, breath-a-while from the pressure of the office environment. It is the perfect time to catch up with the family and relatives back in the Philippines. Spend quality time with my wife and my little daughter. If there is still spare time, check social media. See what is happening in cyber space (and I mean cramp my index finger, scrolling on post after post). Got bored on watching video after video post on social medias, so called my best friend Kenneth. I asked, "what is up, is there any interesting happenings or any events for us to do today".
He said "he is on to something", he is trying to make a blog article on STEEMIT. Confused, I asked, "What is STEEMIT?". He said, blogging community where you'll be able to Post - articles, write a Blog, Vote for people's blogs that you find interesting and EARN(this word in bold suddenly lights my curiosity). So I say, "that is interesting", tell me more. He said, "create an account on STEEMIT and test depth of the water.
But wait...
Levy, you can't write a short story...
Your English and grammar is bad...
Criticism is one of your fears...
You have no or little imagination...
My curiosity took me one step forward. I create an account. And on the 8th of July 2017 my Steemit account went live.
Tried my first article and here are things I find out:
- I can write a story.
- Yes, my English and grammar is bad but on the other hand I can make improvements.
- I can overcome my fear of criticism.
- My imagination is flying all over.
... I love every moment of it and can't wait to write my next article.
