Hello Steemians,
Greetings for the day !!!
Today, I will be creating a post on Night Photography also known as Night time Photography which basically means the capturing images outdoors at night.
In this type of photography, photographers use artificial lighting and long exposure to compose the shot.
Basically long exposure means the shutter of the camera is open for a long time. It can be for seconds, minutes and even hours sometimes to capture star trails.
Now, I will tell about various tips and equipments are required for Night Photography ...
- First and foremost is Tripod due to long exposures.
- Knowledge of Self-timer, to prevent the camera shake while pressing the shutter button.
- Always focus manually as autofocus is not able to properly focus during night.
- Camera lens with a wider aperture, so that it can catch more light.
- A remote-timer during long exposure shots when you put your shutter on bulb mode which means opening shutter for more than 30 seconds.
Now, I will be sharing some photographs along with the details that I captured last time when I went to a fair in my city.
f/3.5, 1/30 sec, ISO-400
In last three images you can clearly spot the difference, I just changed the exposure time and you can see the results. I think last one is looking better as compared to previous two because in this image the shutter was opened for 8 seconds which allowed it to capture more light.
I will be posting about Light Trails and Playing with lights soon.
Stay Tuned
