Been a long time and am just going to call this my toe dip back into the world of steemit!
With the platform? Who knows, not me I haven't been around for awhile and really haven't yet started digging through stuff to see what has changed. The thing I wonder, was there ever really a problem with steemit?
Speaking only for myself, when I look back at my own personal history with the platform... the problems I had were my own. If I didn't care for an aspect of the platform, I apparently wasn't willing to do a lot to change it. I was rereading old posts of mine and with a bit of time, some new perspective on it.
What really grabbed me was something I had said in a post:
"Steemit has reawakened a part in the majority of us the world has said has no value. When was the last time any of us has had to dig deep within ourselves to amuse/entertain/inform/delight/etc. Life has taught us it is not rewarding to dig below the surface of ourselves, steemit has rewarded us for doing just that."
How I went from that to a sniveling whining wounded little warrior I don't know. The platform is whatever it is wanted to be. Did I need to be constantly recognized? Would I have been happy with recognition... if it were not to be matched with financial rewards? Who am I to determine another article is a complete waste of time and devaluing the system (by not giving me their votes and money lol)?
I may come back..... I am still in love with the idea of steemit. I just need to be more guarded with my own insecurities and flaws. Thanks all :)
