Hidden among the streets of the historic center of the city of Sammichele, there is a grill that I particularly love and when I can I try to go back. The restaurant attracts customers a bit from all the neighboring cities in the name of the good meat cooked on its coals.
The butchery is located on the street and it is here that customers stop first, to order the various meat specialties they want to eat. Once the shopping is done, we are accompanied to the room on the first floor of the building, turning on from an external staircase.
Here we are welcomed by the guys who recover the meat we brought and entrust it to the barbecued workers. The meat is cooked a little at a time in order to eat with ease and taste some appetizers of the house such as grilled vegetables and potatoes cooked on hot coals.
Breaded veal with breadcrumbs and cheese is the meat I love most: tender, tasty and lightly toasted. Very good and typical of Sammichele is the zampina sausage, a mixture of very juicy and tasty meat! The restaurant is very welcoming, there are many tables and the environment is rustic and very welcoming. A really nice place to have dinner with friends.
