This painting began during a 4-part online workshop with the wonderful Vacation With An Artist platform.
It has developed over recent months, and now is in the 'last 5% phase' - which I often joke about as being the 95% of the work, rather than 'just touching up and finishing'. 😋
It has been a fascinating energetic process, beginning a painting in a group context, then delving into it alone. I love the creative friction of the difference of 'public' and then 'private'. 🙂
This artwork is around 110 cm x 80 cm, on thick MDF, which was salvaged from a platform bed that I cut down to half the size... It's very heavy, and has rough edges.
