Besides studying, one of other reasons why pupils are motivated to come to the school is meeting with friends. Most of them share their thoughts, difficulties, happiness, and fun with friends in the school. Sometimes interaction with friends at school are more frequently than their interaction with teachers and parents. Therefore, Sukma Bangsa Lhokseumawe School, try to facilitate them in regards to build their high quality of teamwork as well as to increase their happiness at school through many creative programs such as Fun Day. It is monthly and the activities vary from month to month. Both teachers and students have fun together by getting involved in the games such as "Tarik Tambang" or pulling the rope, "Pecah Piring" or breaking the bottles' lid using the tennis ball, "Pecahkan Balon Air" (Breaking down the balloon containing water), etc. Especially today, I could see how fun they were when they played "A Snake Catches the Other Snake". Students from each class made formation like a snake by holding their friends' waist, and then, try to touch another snake's tail. If one of the snakes are able to be touched or broken off the formation, that mean the class (the snake) failed to be a winner of the game.
I did understand how pleased the students were. They worked as a team to finish the game and of course to be the winner of the game. Additionally, the other important thing is they felt happy, laughed and had a very fun day.
