Christmas is here, my favorite season. It is a season of love, enjoyment, and merriment.
The Christmas bell is jingling, and the wind is blowing so cool that the birds are singing. Every family is getting prepared for how they will be celebrating this season of love.
I can still remember when I was small; this was the only season my parents bought me fine shoes and clothes. So once Christmas is approaching, I will have this joy within me.
In less than two weeks, the road will be very busy, and people will be traveling from far and near.
My family has a tradition.
My family has some traditions that we do, whether the money is there or not. I am so happy that I am alive to continue my family tradition, and although my dad is not alive, I am still grateful to God.
It is my family tradition that we travel to my hometown every December to see our loved ones'
- Visiting the less privileged: This is the tradition of my family; we visit the less privileged every Christmas. It is our little way of appreciating God and also a way of showing love. My late dad will always tell us, whether he is alive or not, that we should never stop this tradition. We should always put smiles on the faces of those kids. We try our best to keep our dad's wishes. My mom called me last week to remind me of this, and I promise to come over.
- Family reunion: this particular tradition is a must in my family; whether you have money or not, you must come home. This reunion is celebrated in my hometown. There is this particular thing that happened in my family, and my grandfather made it a must that everyone be coming for the reunion. My two cousins nearly married each other since they started having reunions for us to get to know each other so that the mistake would not occur again.
This reunion is very serious. If you don't return home with your family, we will have to pay a huge amount.
Serious, this reunion is always sweet. There is a lot to eat and drink and to settle disputes, if any. I always look forward to this reunion because my pocket is always loaded with money.
Going to the beach every year has become my family tradition. We go to the beach to catch some fun, see my mom and aunt's play football, and make me laugh out loud.
Annual Thanksgiving: After the reunion meeting, we will go for Thanksgiving to show appreciation to our Creator for the gift of life.
This is my family tradition on a yearly basis.
It is a season of love; let us spread love in our own little way.
