Hi, lovely Steemians,
It's been so long since my last post on Steemit. Last month I was busy with my work and my visa for my business trip in Europe, but the trip to this post is in Penang, Malaysia with my family.
My sister-in-law is in Kaula Lumpur. She booked me the room at Bayview resort, situated on Batu Ferringhi Beach. The hotel is nice and the room is spacious. There are 4 swimming pools and a water sports centre that provides the parasailing and jet-skiing if you like. But I didn't try any of those activities at all, by just looking at the scenery already made me happy.
What I was looking forward to is to take a look at the murals in George town. It originally started by Ernest Zacharevic, a young Lithuanian artist. His murals and installations are impressive, a well-reflect way of living and culture of Penang. There is steel rod sculptures collection from the Malaysian cartoonist too, but I personally prefer the murals than the steel rod.
I could not complete the list since it has more than a hundred of them around the area. If anyone would love to go there, you can simply use google map guide you to all locations.
I found the local chendul which has a long queue and another stall just at the opposite but no queue. It’s an easy decision for me to try the stall with no queue which I found not bad at all. Cendol is made up of coconut milk, pandan-flavoured green rice flour jelly noodles and brown sugar poured over a heaping of shaved ice. In Thailand, we have this dessert too, but just slightly different.

หายไปนานมากกกก...คิดถึงทุกคนค่ะ มาทีไรก็จะมาบ่นว่ายุ่งมากเนอะ เดือนที่แล้วยุ่งกับงานและการเตรียมตัว เตรียมวีซ่าเดินทางไปเรื่องงานที่ยุโรป แต่ทริปที่จะมาแชร์ให้เพื่อนๆ วันนี้เป็นทริปที่ไปปีนังกับครอบครัวก่อนค่ะ
น้องสาวสามีอยู่ที่มาเลเซีย เธอเลยจัดการจองที่พักให้ที่ Bayview Resort ที่อยู่บนหาด Batu Ferringhi โรงแรมดูสวยงามดีนะคะ ห้องก็กว้างขวางดีค่ะ ลืมถ่ายรูปห้องนอนมา มีสระว่ายน้ำ 4 สระ ตามสไตล์โรงแรมริมชายหาดขนาดใหญ่ทั่วไป และนอกจากนี้เค้ายังมีศูนย์กีฬาที่มีบริการพาราเซลลิ่ง เจ็ตสกีด้วยนะคะถ้าชอบกัน แต่ไม่ได้เล่นอะไรกับเค้าหรอกค่ะ แค่ได้ได้มองวิวจากบนห้องก็แฮปปี้แล้วค่ะ
กิจกรรมที่อยากทำคือการไปเดินดูภาพบนผนัง กำแพงต่างๆ ในจอร์จทาวน์ ผู้ที่เริ่มต้นการสร้างศิลปะเหล่านี้คือ Ernest Zacharevic ศิลปินหนุ่มจากลิทัวเนีย ที่ได้สร้างสรรค์ภาพวาดผสมผสานกับองค์ประกอบอื่นมาเพิ่มให้งานดูมีมิติขึ้นมา ซึ่งดูแล้วน่าประทับใจมากค่ะ ผลงานของเค้าถ่ายทอดวิถีชีวิตและวัฒนธรรมของชาวปีนังได้ดีทีเดียว นอกจากนี้ยังมีงานที่เป็นเหล็กดัดเป็นรูปการ์ตูนล้อเลียนของศิลปินท่านอื่นอีกด้วย แต่ส่วนตัวแล้วชอบที่เป็นภาพวาดบนกำแพงมากกว่า
เสียดายที่ไม่สามารถเดินดูจนครบได้เพราะว่ามีภาพให้ดูมากกว่าร้อยภาพกระจายอยู่ตามจุดต่างๆ ถ้าใครสนใจอยากไป ก็แค่ใช้ google map ดูจุดต่างๆ ที่เค้าได้มาร์คจุดไว้ให้แล้วค่ะ
เดินดูไปเรื่อยๆจนเจอร้านขายลอดช่องเจ้าเด็ดเจ้าดังคนต่อคิวยาวมากถึงมากที่สุด มีรูปวาดเด็กกินลอดช่องอยู่เหนือร้านด้วยค่ะ ถ้าเห็นแบบนี้คือมาไม่ผิดแน่
ตรงกันข้ามมีอีกร้านขายลอดช่องหน้าตาเหมือนกันเป๊ะ ณ เวลานั้นเห็นร้านคิวยาวแล้วท้อ รอไม่ไหวจริงๆ เดินท่ามกลางแดดเปรี้ยงจะเป็นลม หิวน้ำสุดๆ แล้วก็เลยจัดการกินร้านตรงข้ามแทนค่ะ แต่ก็อร่อยใช้ได้นะคะ เหมือนลอดช่องสิงคโปร์แต่แปลกที่เค้าใส่ถั่วแดงและแทนที่จะเป็นน้ำตาลมะพร้าวหรือน้ำตาลปึกเหมือนบ้านเรา แต่รู้สึกว่าเขาใช้น้ำตาลทรายแดง อันนี้ไม่แน่ใจเท่าไรแต่คิดว่าใช่นะคะ
ปิดท้ายด้วยรูปตอนกลางคืน ชอบอันนี้มากค่ะ สวยดี
