Throughout our day, our attention might wander thousands of times, and sometimes it will start to get wrapped up in an emotion - be it pleasurable or painful. In those moments, we can calmly bring our awareness back to our center, noticing what is in our solar plexus and sacrum.

These distractions may come in many forms - anger, irritation, frustration, sexual desire or even romantic love. It is important to emphasise that pleasure and pain can equally serve to draw us away from our center.

When we pay close attention, we might even notice the feeling of imbalance that occurs when our mind tips over into an emotion or idea.

Are you balanced right now?
