Malachi 3:7 (KJV) Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
We need religion because religion is a way that puts God in our consciousness. Religion makes us think of God. It registers the existence of God in our minds. If we reject religion we are just living like people who are not conscious about the existence of God. God exists. He is the one who created the whole universe. He is the one who created us. So, when we are thinking about religion, we are thinking about God. There is no other aspect of a man’s life that registers the existence of God in that person’s consciousness apart from religion.
When we accept religion, we begin to obey the commandments of God. We make God our Creator and superior Being. We recognize Him and submit ourselves to obeying Him. Religion is good for our spiritual development. The practice of religion, make us to do things that please God. It makes us run away from sin. It makes us live our lives in obedience to the instructions and commandments of God. Religious mindset shapes us to learn to put God first in our lives and to accept His doctrines. When we accept the doctrines, we discipline ourselves to obey the commandments of God. Religion is good. We must accept religion.
I thank God for Bro Eli Soriano who has been helpful in teaching us the things we should know about the true religion. All the teachings and the explanation of the doctrine which He offered have been of great benefits, helping us to practice our religion with God rightly.
