Bro Eli Soriano discussed with us several important lessons in the Mass Indoctrination. We have been taught many lessons and we have equally been corrected of the wrong perceptions we had concerning the doctrines of the church. These doctrines have been a blessing to our souls as they instruct us in the truth of the Word of God.
The concept of doing good to people was discussed with us today. Bro Eli made us understand that as christians, we should be vested with the habit of always doing good. I have come to realize that one of the ways to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ is by doing good works. There will not be any sense if we only talk about Christ without showing the love of Christ to the people.
Jesus, our Teacher, was always doing good during His days on earth. He went about helping the helpless and healing the sick. He even fed those who were hungry. He never repaid anyone with evil. Even His enemies were blessed by Him. As the children of God and the followers of Christ, we should do the same.
Bro Eli also mentioned to us that part of the way we render good works is by supporting the government. We should abuse those in leadership positions. We should encourage them. We should support and pray for them as the Bible advises us. He told us that for us to live in peace we must obey the government and pray for our leaders.
Bro Eli Soriano brought it down to homes. He advised that women should pray and love their husbands; likewise the husbands should love their wives. Husbands should not beat or maltreat their wives. Also, the wives should obey their husbands. When we dwell peacefully with one another in our homes, we are showing the example of good works as christians.
We were blessed with the documentary of the good works the MCGI Cares are doing. Those videos were encouragement to us to also engage in good works.
