Out of the winds' and the waves' riot,
Go lovely rose,
Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Men of the Twenty-first
Again at Christmas did we weave
What hope is here for modern rhyme
We stands full-throated and with careless pose,
God's own best will bide the test
All yesterday the thought of you was resting in my soul,
'What is the Experience Price? do men buy it for a song?
Yet if some voice that man could trust
Lay asleep on the dust by the city wall
Overnight, the air froze.
How changed is here each spot man makes or fills!
From upland slopes I see the cows file by,
In a solitude of the sea
