Its been said before and well I'll say it again ;) Better late than never to come over here to the Hive community and here I am. MY HIVE INTRO. I've been experimenting with blogging off and on for a while mostly on my private page. So I'll bring my life online over here. A new beginning for all so let's get going. I used to post on Steemit and I've moved here with the help of my good friends

I enjoy watching life - I'm an observer of life. Of course I participate somewhat in a rather private and reserved manner but enjoy watching life as it takes place and writing about the nuances of such life.
As I live in Phuket, Thailand, life here takes on many variations. On this island many foreigners reside. Some permanent residents and many are seasonal; escaping the cold of Europe and Russia. The main influx of foreigners in Phuket are tourists. In recent times the predominant group has been Chinese. But as I live in Phuket town life here is quite different. In low season in town it is a rare sight indeed to see a foreigner. Life here is indeed a tale of two seasons.
I love the beaches and the weather. I'm not one to lay out in the sun and work on my tan. Actually, although the weather is quite hot here I'm not a big fan of too much heat. My life tends to mimic the local style. Wake up before sunrise and nap in the afternoon. Phuket is surprisingly a great location for cycling although there can be traffic on some of the larger roads. The island is rather large so quite comfortable for stretching the legs and the west coast is very hilly for testing your mountain climbing abilities.

The high season is hot and sunny. Not a drop of rain almost from November until April. From May onward to October is low season with the monsoon arrives and although the rain is nothing like in India for instance the island can have heavy downpours and flooding sometimes. The temperatures are cooler with clouds off and on throughout the day. The sunsets are lovely with the addition of clouds.
I absolutely love the food. Thailand has regional food and people from outside the island will tell you that the food is tastier in other provinces. But for me, especially being vegetarian Thai food in Phuket is fantastic, inexpensive, readily available throughout the island and one of the main reasons I stay here although I do cook at home in the evenings.
