HELLO STEEM USERS AROUND THE GLOBE HOPE YOUR ALL HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY!

In this post I would like to discuss problems that really frustrate me when gaming specifically paying attention to blockbusters games and so on

Let’s get started on what problems big and small the video gaming industry has As always leave your thoughts about the topic below 😃

YEARLY RELEASES PRESSURE ON DEVELOPMENT TEAMS

I’ll start with why I hate yearly release games then explain why it’s bad for the gaming industry overall.

Personally I’m not a fan of yearly release games especially games that have anything to do with ELECTRONIC ARTS ACTIVISION And so on. why you ask? Well have you ever played a game for example let’s take THE FIFA SERIES for example so if you like football ⚽️ I’m sure you’ve heard of the titles Fifa 10,11,12,13 and so on these games are released yearly sync around August-September and although many are a fan of fifa within the the actual game there’s not huge differences you get maybe a graphics upgrade and improved game mechanics but as for new content well there isn’t really much maybe the new mode here and there burn nothing to pull you in and play plus the same game will comeback out next year and for me I’m Norbelto a fan of it isn’t rather developers work on a title for 2-5+ years as you will see huge differences and gives you the opportunity to play the game for much longer instead of throwing it away after 1year and the new version of the game has just been released.
Overall this hurts the gaming industry as devs have to work extremely hard to meet the deadlines and other stuff as missing a deadline in the gaming industry is huge just take a look at ROCKSTAR GAMES remember GRAND THEFT AUTO V remember that game Yh that game that game was delayed not just by a month of two no no it wasn’t delayed for 3/4 of a year 😬 but in the end rockstar still broke records but for smaller teams delays can break a game

PRICED DLC

What on earth is DLC you ask? Well DLC is pretty much downloadable content for a game think of it as an expansion you buy a game and you play after a couple of months you he company decides to Aden content into the game that can range from anything.

But hey what’s been the problem? Well although some development teams release DLC for free a lot still lock it behind a pay wall. I am really not a fan of this I personally believe paying £50 for a video game should have everything and everything added for free but nope unfortunately most developers lock the content behind a paywall let’s take **THE CALL OF DUTY SERIES ** for example so. The Baden price for the game is around £50 but you also have options to either buy DLC as it releases so that’s around every 3-4 months after launch and costs around £15 each time or you can buy a season pass that works out cheaper than buying along content separately but will still cost around £34 so in total a game with full additional content will cost you a whopping £84 I’m not sure about you burn for a game that’s A LOT especially for call of duty as again it’s a game that has a yearly release cycle so after a year unless the newer call of duty is terrible you won’t be playing the old game again an £84 game that you probably won’t play anymore after 1 year. Thankfully many games mown offer all additional content for free.

MICRO TRANSACTIONS

I’m gonna cut somebody slack on this topic as well Irene optional to buy and doesn’t really effect your gameplay. most games that have micro transactions either have it as a currency system or in game content for example take FORTNITE for example this game isn’t completely free to everyone’s it won’t cost you anything however you have the option to purchase their in game currency called “VBUCKS”. This currency isn’t used to by skins and other in game customisable options this hasn’t no effect on giving a player power over another and serves as just a way to make your ingame character look better with a skin of your choosing. However some games have ruined micro transactions as in giving players who pay a huge advantage this is known and “pay to win” most games are pay to win but it depends on how extreme the pay to win is.

And those are my reasons on why the video gaming industry hasn’t a problem however in no way am I attacking the video gaming industry I love gaming. I love the concept behind gaming one min im playing BATTLEFIELD the next im playing STEEM MONSTERS the gaming industry has the wonderful diversity so it’s easy to find something tailored to you

Thanks for reading my post feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments 😀

Have a lovely rest of the day 73D5065452EC48039D63390E6DC234BB.jpeg
