Hello everyone. My name is Charisse, but I prefer to be called on my childhood nickname "Talet". You can also call me Chito13. It feels good to feel young even though I am getting older by age. I signed up here at steemit way back August 2016 but I did not post any story as I had many issues to attend to at that time. Only today that I realized that the time to write is now. I am now ready to share my world to you. Thanks to sis @lynrogan , I am back to writing.
I am actually a nurse, by profession. But I decided to take full time responsibility as a mother to my 3 year old daughter. I believe I have to do that since my husband works abroad. And there is no one to take care of my daughter if I will continue my career as a nurse. Knowing that working as a nurse, I have to follow different shifting for duty, may it be night, afternoon or day shift. Aside from that, I came from a family whose both parents worked everyday every weekdays. I do not want my daughter to feel the same experience I had when I was young. Being the third daughter, I had to rely from my sisters. Yes it did good when it comes to my relationship with my sisters. But how I wish my parents had more time with us. Gone were the days but I can do something for today and tomorrow.
Although I opt to be a full-time mom, I still am trying to enrich my knowledge on the best possible way I can. Last December, I renewed my license as a nurse. And this month, I started an online course about Special Education and the focus is Applied Behavior Analysis. I want to help children with special needs to live in a world even though they are differently abled. This course is almost far from being a nurse, but I guess this is my starting point to where I should go. Becoming a nurse is not really my personal choice. But I did my very best to study about it and even passed the board exam. Sometimes, I think of the past when I was still a first year student wanting to become a chemist or an engineer. If you will ask me if I still want to be a chemist, I will surely say yes. But my primary goal for now is my daughter. To me, my daughter is the most precious gift God gave to me and that I have to take care of her until the time she can stand on her own.
So that is my short introduction of my self. I am also hoping that this year, is my year to write again.
