FYI, DIVINE SHIELD does not stop POISON, but it does stop EARTHQUAKE.
Why do you need DIVINE SHIELD?
Allow your monsters to take 2 hits (3 if your monsters have armor and opponent does not have magic or piercing)
Good delay and destroy
Who have DIVINE SHIELD?
At level 1, just rent LORNA SHINE.
She is a very good SUMMONER to have in your arsenal.
Plus her rental is cheap.
How do you use DIVINE SHIELD?
Good in LITTLE LEAGUE ruleset or low mana matches. Where you delay and conquer.
You can also apply it on EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ruleset as they will go for your CHICKEN and can you imagine a CHICKEN that tanks 2 hit for you?
I came across a play where my opponent used LORNA and defeated me. DELAY AND CONQUER! Look at that CHICKEN taking 2 hits for the team.
In conclusion
My thought for DIVINE SHIELD is really to delay and destroy the opponent. A simple CHICKEN can help to tank 2-3 hits which can allow you to destroy their backline or DPS.
Trust me you wont regret.
