This Great, Awesome, Timeless classic anime, Princess Mononoke, was created in 1997.. directed by Hayao Miyazaki and animated by Studio Ghibli. This studio is also responsible for several other great anime works.. Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and Grave of the Fireflies. They are timeless masterpieces and I am gonna watch (or re-watch) em all.
I remember devouring this one about 3 times in a row back when it first came out. (back then, it was on VHS that I rented from blockbuster.. who remembers that one?)
It was so cool! and the animation was truly breath-taking.
The epic story and action start right away, with a very tense, dismal situation..
This guy,
and his trusty ELK friend
must confront this raging demon. He is the only thing that stands in the way of this rampaging terror, and the peaceful village!
He tried to talk with it, but only his true aim can stop the beast!
For his great shot, the demon explodes with fury and he reaches and grabs the hero's arm with its black tendrils.
Ok. nuff spoiling.. if u aren't interested by now, then maybe awesome anime just isn't your cup of tea. BTW, this is top 5 stuff and I would personally rank it #3 behind my top picks.. Fist of the North Star, and Ninja scroll.
But now that I am an adult and can understand a bit more.. Watching this movie had me asking the question,
How the heck does he balance on these 6 inch heel wooden sandals??!
ps. call him *MR. PIG!!!
