Well, I finally have a good resolution (now 1920 X 1080).. it was already turned up at max of 800 x 600 on my old monitor. (I like it big and easy on the eyes) I skipped the 24 inch and went for the 27 inch. I wanted to try a curved one (my kids were very impressed by the curve :) and the 24 inch just looked like it wasn't really a big difference with the curve.. now my eyes are still getting used to looking at this mini IMAXish screen! :P
I bet some of you are wondering how much this beast cost me. I did look on ebay, but thought I would pay the extra $10-20 and get it from a source I trust way more..
I haven't upgraded my setup since 2016 (maybe replacing a mouse or two, but that's it), so I decided to splurge and get this new monitor, along with a new desk, keyboard, etc.
I even got a little rug/mat to lay down under my chair.. on yea. I removed the wheels (I hate that it moves around so much and I would constantly have to reset my position..) plus, I like to sit lower, so my knees form that 90 angle and I can have my keyboard rest on my lap. and so I don't hurt the floor or tear the mat, I put cut tennis balls on the ends of the chair feet.
ps. Since I am not rolling back and forth TO the desk anymore, and because the screen is just too big to be so close to it, I positioned my chair back a bit and put a suitcase on the side to hold my mouse. (and it makes a great drink holder!)
That's about it. I am very happy with how it all turned out and it makes me that much happier to be here in my spot most of the day..

Last word.. besides the pricier stuff, these little upgrades really added the most and I would've gotten them sooner if I had known I would like em so much..
the black (many colors to choose from) desk mat ($9) and the little gel wrist rest ($8).
