I remember something pretty funny from my childhood.. I used to think they sold the actual PAWNS (as in chess pieces) at a pawn shop. I was like, what about the king or bishop or the rooks, any of the other pieces. :P

Well, after some years, I've learned that just isn't so, and it's mostly thanks to tv shows such as pawn stars.

Anyway, I'm getting a bit side tracked here.. What I was actually doing on this Saturday , was trying to go find me a local shop that bought and sold silver and gold coins and bars. I read of a few shops online (yelp reviews) that were all really close to my house and they had the highest stars..

Well, the first one I went to was NOT there.. like it had been teleported away some time ago. Oh well.. time to go check out this little coin shop that I used to go to.. well, guess what? That one was also closed down and gone. :(

Luckily, there was a

big pawn shop right a crossed the street from where that little coin shop used to be. There was a big sign outside that read, 'We Buy Gold'. I think I found my shop. 😉👊

Sure enough, they had several cases full of gold and silver coins and lots of jewelry too. They even sold a wide variety of other stuff that looked way cool..
