Religion is not like a tradition which everyone must be in a particular place at a particular time and perform a certain ritual. True religion is shown by a sincere relationship with God, built on faith, obedience, love, and a desire to live according to His will. It is expressed through a changed life that reflects kindness, humility, and faithfulness.
The Bible also teaches that true religion includes caring for those in need, living a morally pure life, and worshipping God with a sincere heart rather than merely performing outward rituals.
James 1:27 says, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
