It was that time, the team was about to be eliminated. The coach kept encouraging us, we have to perform better.
Our volleyball team was all lagging behind this season. We didn't know what happened. Was it because we were underpaid or we didn't have enough money to fund the team? We didn't know, we were just performing badly and we were about to be relegated.
It was our last game that determined whether we were going to be relegated or not. The coach kept encouraging us that we should put in our best or we risk being eliminated. It's our choice. That day, it was as if another spirit came into us. We were all energetic. We did our best, we tried. We almost lost. But that motivation kept us going.
And finally, we won the game. And we were spared that shame of being eliminated that season. It was happy. The coach was happy for the female team. That would make them proud. Although it was not as I expected.
But at least we were still in the league to compete for the next season. We were still in the league.
