A sunny day to each and every Hiver. It was 7:00 AM yesterday and the sun was up already giving us an intense heat. I can feel it in my body even if we have a lot of trees in our area.
I opened our refrigerator to get a glass of cold water to lessen the temperature, just when I saw a bowl of lettuce from our samgyupsal the other night. My husband will get upset if there is any leftover food and then throw it away if it is spoiled. So I decided to make it a salad which he loves.
Tuna Lettuce Salad from Scratch
Here are the ingredients:

- Three pieces of bread I used sliced bread
- One can tuna, any tuna you like.
- salt and pepper to taste.
Utensils:
A bowl, Knife, chopping board, a ladle.
Procedures:
- Slice the lettuce into three parts and wash with water. Put in a bowl. Set aside.
- Slice the white onion into small and mix with the lettuce.
- Slice the cheese and the bread into cubes and put it together in the bowl.
- Open the canned tuna pour it on the veggies and mix together.
- Add salt and pepper. and it's done.
If you want to add any dressing it's okay so It will taste more delicious. Put it in the fridge and it's ready to serve when it's already cold. My husband really enjoys the salad.
Here it is, Tuna salad from scratch
I also decided to cook our dinner and here it is.
Chicken Fillet
Ingredients:
- Chicken cut into fillets ( marinate the chicken for one hour)
-Three eggs
-One cup of flour - bread crumbs
-oil, salt and pepper
Procedures:
Always remember the FEB (Flour, egg, breadcrumbs)
See to it that your flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs have salt and pepper. Beat the eggs. Prepare the pan with oil on a medium heat.
Dip the fillets one by one in FEB. Take note Do not interchange the process. When the oil is hot put the breaded fillets one by one on the pan and let it cook until golden brown.
Put tissue paper on the plate so the oil from the fillets will be absorbed by the tissue.
Serve with ketchup dipping or soy sauce and vinegar.
My version of chicken fillet.
We enjoyed our meal together. I seldom do this since I am at work but for now that I'm A full-time fur mom I think I will do it more often.
We also had our snacks that night cause I baked banana cake later that afternoon.
Moist Banana cake
What I love about cooking and baking is that you make your family happy through your dish. And we as moms it's a great accomplishment on our part. It gives us joy and fulfillment to see our family enjoying our simple dishes. If you have a lot of time you can have bonding moments with your kids, teaching them to wash, slice, and even help you cook the dish you planned to. Some children nowadays don't even know how to peel garlic or ginger. Now is the time that we teach them because someday they have their own family too.
I hope you enjoy my story, Thank you for the time to read it. See you on my next blog.
