That isn't completely true.
The Likud Party in Israel wanted Saddam removed and Syria destabilized. They also wanted Gaddafi gone. A think tank wrote two policy papers in the that were penned and signed by Americans with Israeli citizenship that went on to work within the Bush administration. They were members of the Likud Party and express their goals for the century.
So to say that "Israel does not want and does not benefit from US" is inaccurate. The government of Israel does. Much like the government of the US does too. But the PEOPLE in both nations suffer greatly. Along with the Arab and Persian populations of the region.
