"Oh yes, I'm certainly participating in this one," I thought to myself when I saw galenkp@galenkp 's weekend-engagement prompts. I took each prompt a lot of thought and chose to began writing about my saddest moment. I figured it would be basic. I was able to upload that one photo, but when I began putting my words into sentences, every single one of them made no sense. I couldn't believe it! That time had passed about six years ago! I'm afraid I'm not quite ready to share it yet.

Into the woods 1.JPG

Hiking is my favorite way of connecting with nature. When things gets tough and i needed some fresh air, hiking comes to mind. The scent of the jungle, the sounds of the forest, and the creatures that live there are simply spectacular! Every stride I take feels like I'm stepping away from my worries and troubles bit by bit.

Moreover, the following are reasons why I love being with nature

FRESH AIR

Air pollution has become a growing concern around the world. People nowadays seek refuge in natural areas where the air is fresher. Hiking in the jungle provides that much-needed breath of fresh air!

PHYSICAL HEALTH BENEFITS

Regular hiking can help us stay active, in addition to all the emotional benefits of spending time in nature. Walking is an excellent way to keep our physical health in check.

Walking has a number of advantages, including:

• Improving heart and lung fitness.
• Lowering the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
• Joint and muscle problems, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol are all managed.
• Balance Improvement
• Increase in endurance.
• Build bone and muscular mass.
• Get rid of body fat.

SENSORIAL

Being in touch with nature stimulates our senses in a variety of ways. Sense of seeing a variety of colours, touching a variety of textures, and hearing a range of relaxing sounds. Getting away from our daily routine and experiencing new sensations makes us feel rejuvenated while also demonstrating our body's strengths. Did you know that people can use their sense of smell to track? People who spend more time in nature are more conscious of their environment, according to scientists, which can improve individual performance in a variety of ways.

FLORA AND FAUNA CONNECTION

When we are with nature, we should not only reconnect with ourselves, but also reconnect with the stunning plants and wildlife around. We develop a greater respect for wildlife and plants when we can observe them in their natural habitat.

TIME TO UNWIND

Nowadays, people are quite busy, particularly when it comes to work. As a result, we frequently neglect the importance of taking a break. Even when we do find time to unwind, we're frequently in front of a screen - whether it's a TV, phone, or laptop. Getting out in nature helps us to calm down and tune in to ourselves away from the bustle of everyday life. A meaningful connection to nature can actually help us connect with ourselves more deeply.

NATURAL THERAPY

Focusing on ourselves allows us to solve any issues, and nature can provide the ideal place for some natural self-therapy. Nature has been shown time and time again to help people cope with sadness, anxiety, stress, and rage, as well as improve overall mental health. Nature helps us feel better and more contented as a person, which can benefit us in a number of ways.

“And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.”
— John Muir

And so I leave you my favourite quote from John Muir. It is kinda' straightforward and I couldn't agree more with him.

Many thanks, The weekend community!
