An architect recommended me to do a landscape design project for a Semi-Detached unit near Haw Par Villa in Singapore. After fixed an appointment, the site meeting with client and contractors was carried out to understand the existing site condition and client requirement.
Currently the site is under construction stage. The landscape works will be starting in September. Therefore, a landscape design proposal is required for landscape contractors to prepare site implementation works.
The existing site is narrow and shady. It’s challenging for softscape design works, limitation for planting selection. Besides that, I have to consider client design requirement, long term landscape maintenance and towards cost saving.
To design planting area, usually I think through the suitability of plant species and planting beds, plant specifications, and plant availability in the market. After defining the space, function and plant selection, the CAD drafting works is in progress.
The curve line is creating natural sense of planting area, and straight line is forming the formal and well-ordered sense of planting area.
After landscape plans and sectional elevations are done, the 3D perspective is prepared to show the landscape design evidently. Clients can easily see and imagine the landscape design by 3D perspective drawings.
