Happy Sunday and a Beautiful weekend to us all, I hope that today will be a peaceful and restful one for us.
A highlights of our farm work yesterday continues from the completion of the weeding exercise we started in our Lettuce farm down to the planting of beans and other work.
Since the rains have ceased, the rice fields have dried off completely halting the transplanting process we were doing.
We are running out of time for both transplanting or planting of many crops but there is nothing we can do, the weather this year has been the worst I am experiencing ever since.
Right after completing weeding in the rice field, we moved on to plant some beans. Beans are meant to be planted in the months of July or latest the first weeks of the month of August but here we are now just attempting to try planting beans.
Grasses has already over taken the place we have planned to plant this beans here. The land was cultivated some good while back but because we were not able to plant then due to lack of rain, the place is now full of grasses.
In order not to waste much finance recultivating the land before planting again we decide to plant the beans then apply herbicides go kill the weeds.
The children were left to attend to this task since planting is not much of a difficult exercise.
And while they were done planting I had my other brother head over there to apply the herbicides to the farm.
We also had to apply some more herbicides go our rice farms in locations where the grasses are yet to wither off.
Today is for rest and I woke up to some drizzling of rain, I'm just praying for a downpour before Monday comes so that we can resume to the more serious work we have in the farm.
Here is a little beans we have planted in hope just to see if anything will come out of it in the end.
