Traveling internationally, meeting and making new friends, and getting immersed in a completely different culture is one of my goals in life. So when I graduated from college and my aunt told me she'd pay for my Japan trip - my first ever trip outside the country, I was really happy and excited.

Upon hearing that news, I immediately filed for a vacation leave (yes, because I got a job already) and looked for cheap flights online. I was able to get a MNL-NRT-MNL ticket for P27,000 if I remember it correctly.

During my ten-day stay in Japan, I was able to visit some temples, shrines and famous landmarks, see Tokyo Skytree, experience a festival, japanese christmas and new year, and of course visit Sanrio Puroland - the haven for Hello Kitty fans like me.
