Yeast infection, also known as candida, is a result of an improperly balanced immune system. Causes of yeast infection may be directly related to the foods and prescriptions we take, and also may result from some environmental factors beyond our control. Watching your diet is a good step to prevent yeast infection from starting and/or spreading.
Refined sugar and carbohydrates are some of the most damaging culprit causing yeast infections. Refined sugar comes from many different sources, including some obvious ones, such as candy, ice cream, and soda. Other refined sugar foods that can affect yeast infections include things such as honey, which is considered a simple carbohydrate. But there are complex carbohydrates which are also yeast infection causes. These refined carbohydrates include things like cereal, bread, and rice. These types of carbohydrates allow candida to over grow within your gut.
Another big area of concern is mucus. There are some food items, like cow’s milk, which may cause allergies. Allergies increase production of mucus in our body system, and if persist may lead to indigestion. When that happens, yeast infection tend to grow even more faster. To control such inflammatory situation, soy is highly recommended instead of other dairy products.
Yeast, the common ingredient for making bread and beer, should be tagged as products that may cause yeast infection. You should avoid such ingredients if you already have and trying to flush out the yeast infection. Food items that include molds, which some other people think not a yeast infection cause, should also be avoided. Such food items are cheeses, dried fruits and mushroom.
A body that’s improperly balanced is prone for yeast infection growth. The body’s balanced PH level should be in the range of 7.35 and 7.45. If yours is not within the range, meaning you body is too acidic, it will be more prone for candida to grow. This can be avoided by balancing your diet with alkaline foods, like lemons, fish or grains.
As you can see there are many environmental things that are yeast infection causes. The best way to avoid yeast infection is watch your diet out to stay within a balanced means, including your PH balance.
