Like many of you, I got into crypto for all the wrong reasons. I invested in BTC and made a fair bit of money, and from then on, I was hooked. Then prices fell, and it's been growing but not at a pace that would get the heart pumping and brows sweating thinking you could just have earned your way to retirement. The bear market was right for me; It gave me time to do real research and pick my way through projects I wanted to invest in and learn more about the space.
Going through several sites, whitepapers, youtube videos, press releases, and listening to shills of all kids some sketchy AF and some the voice of reason and I have to say this place is one of those, tell don't show kind of gigs. We're always talking about potential and blowing smoke up each other's arses for every small step for blockchain kind, but in all honesty, we haven't gotten anywhere.
This is not me trying to FUD crypto; I love it, my money is where my mouth is, and I suffer significantly for it. I am not impatient. I want people to cut the bullshit and be honest. I mean we can see your GitHub commits, we can see your chain activity, we can see your daily trade volume, and I have to say most of the alts that survived, I am not impressed.

Hard on alts
BTC is doing the only thing it was built for so far, moving value and being a store of value but alts, you'll promised us a whole lot more than that and has any of them delivered. We read the fantastical roadmaps of Cardano, TRON, EOS, STEEM, NEO to name a few that were all going to help shape new ways of running applications and drive web 3.0 and what we got was a delayed fuse on a dud. I know Rome can't be built in a day, but managing expectations can be done from day one something plenty of alts has failed at dismally.
I think for all the marketing being done, PR being done, money being poured into this space, community backing and all the free labour some of these projects get from the community they've failed to deliver, and we need to be real about it.
Make real moves not money moves
I think its time cryptocurrency projects put up or shut up and stop talking so damn much and start to deliver. I would rather have you build something valuable in silence than shout about another potential release, merger, acquisition, listing on an exchange or partnership.
While these are essential stepping stones, I think a functioning product that can do as advertised is more critical. Facebook, Amazon, Google for all their money stealing and infinite resources was once a shit stain on the wall and had first to show they could satisfy peoples needs on a small scale before scaling up.
If an alt doesn't satisfy a need better than a centralised service in every way, why would I bother using it in the first place?
Rant over!
