Arsenal has been put on high alert after one of the world's most coveted midfielders has asked to move clubs. Arsenal is not the only one in the running and I am sure there are a number of the clubs looking to sign Sergej Milinkovic Savic in this transfer window.
The midfielder has spent the last seven seasons at Lazio and has become something of a club icon and each season he has gone from strength to strength. Lazio have managed to fight off interest for him every season so far but this could change.
A player of his talent doesn't come around often and reports claim Mikel Arteta’s side will pay around £42m for his services to sure up their midfield should the deal for Tielemans fall through.
42 million is a lot of money for one player but considering that its their star the Italians know more teams would be chasing him if he is to engage in talks and they are holding out for around £55m.

While Arsenal have the money that is not the only factor, Savic will want to use his last years at the top to get trophies and make a real go of his career and that means champions league and title challenges, something Arsenal cant exactly promise him but other teams can, with Barca keen to move on Frankie and Pogba to leave United, this race could heat up very quickly.
