Mikel Arteta is in need of a striker and it's the one area of the squad he has never spent big on, but that looks like its about to change as he looks to secure the services of a £42m Dutch striker this summer and try to beat off Liverpool and Barcelona.
That's according to Dutch publication Voetbal International, there are claims that Cody Gakpo of PSV is keen on his chances in London, versus the other 2. If we look at Barca and Liverpool, there is plenty of competition, but with Arsenal losing 3 strikers, Gakpo has more than enough chances to play first-team football.
Gakpo like Martinelli can play both through the middle and as a left-winger which means offers versatility and can rotate fluidly with Pepe and Saka, and would be suited to moving across the front 3 where needed.

At the age of 22-year-old, he fits in Arsenal's long-term plans to build a team that can stick together and challenges for honors. Additionally, he has a pretty solid record with 16 goals and 15 assists across his 37 appearances so far this season in all competitions for PSV.
